Celebrating two decades of biotechnology in Nepal
Dr. Tista Prasai Joshi, a senior scientist at the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) will be one of the invited speakers at the upcoming First National Biotechnology Conference 2023.
The conference, set to take place later this year, will bring together experts from various fields in biotechnology to discuss and exchange ideas on emerging trends and research findings in the industry.
Dr. Tista’s research, which centers on drinking water quality and purification, has earned her a reputation as a leading authority in the field. Her work has been published in reputable journals, including Water Research, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Journal of Hazardous Materials.
Dr. Tista is also a registered patent holder in China and has been recognized for her work with several awards, including the OWSD-Elsevier Foundation Award in Biological Sciences, representing the Asia Pacific region in 2019, and the UNESCO-OWSD early career fellowship in 2019.
Additionally, she has been named one of the 50 visionaries of Nepal and awarded a medal in 2022. She is an editorial board member of various national and international journals and has presented her research at national and international conferences.
The organizers of the First National Biotechnology Conference 2023 expressed excitement in having Dr. Tista as one of their speakers, saying that her expertise and experience in the field would add value to the conference.
