Invited Speaker Announcement: Dr. Suman Lama

The conference, set to take place later this year, will bring together experts from various fields in biotechnology to discuss and exchange ideas on emerging trends and research findings in the industry.

Dr. Suman Lama is a highly accomplished microbiologist and biochemical engineer with a Master’s degree from the Central Department of Microbiology, Tribhuvan University and a Ph.D. from Pusan National University. After completing a postdoctoral appointment at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, where he conducted research on microbial production of commercially valuable products, Dr. Lama joined the faculty of National College, Nepal as a lecturer and Polytechnic Research Center as a researcher. He has published numerous papers and holds several patents related to the characterization of enzymes and the industrial production of 1,3-propanediol, 3-hydroxypropionic acid, and 2,4-dihydroxybutanoic acid. Dr. Lama has received several awards, including Best Poster Award, Best Paper Award, and Best Research Award, at various conferences. He is a lifetime member of the Biotechnology Society of Nepal and the Nepal Biotechnology Association.
