Celebrating two decades of biotechnology in Nepal
The conference, set to take place later this year, will bring together experts from various fields in biotechnology to discuss and exchange ideas on emerging trends and research findings in the industry.
Nishan Katuwal, a molecular biologist and bioinformatician, is currently working as the Incharge of Molecular and Genomic Sequencing Research Lab in Dhulikhel Hospital, Kathmandu University Hospital. He received his Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), specializing in nanomedicine and pharmaceutical rheology.
Katuwal’s current research is focused on infectious disease investigation, genomics, molecular methods, and serology. He is involved in various research projects at DHUKUH as a researcher, principal investigator, and co-investigator, with a particular focus on diseases such as SARSCOV2, AES, HPV, SHAPU, Typhoid, AMR, HEV, and Dengue.
As a speaker at the First National Biotechnology Conference 2023, Katuwal is expected to share his insights and expertise on the latest trends and research findings in the field of molecular biology and bioinformatics.
